🚨 Warning to any big club. Mock Spurs all you like, but how the prem is now few bad calls on a manager & recruitment & bit of bad luck with injuries and it could be you in a relegation fight. Liverpool have lost 10 games this season. Spurs only lost 4 more.

While they’ve definitely wasted cash, the difference between the established elite and the rest is that under PSR the latter get the chance to waste cash again and again (see United)

🇳🇱 ⚽️ It’s been a while since I’ve seen a striking performance like Brian Brobbey’s for Sunderland yesterday.
💪🏻 Absolutely bullied the Newcastle defence from the off, occupying four of them for most of the game.
🤷🏽♂️ #NUFC didn’t know how to handle him — Botman was probably relieved when he had to go off, and Thiaw didn’t fare much better.
🫡 Thoroughly deserved his derby winner…it been coming since half-time.

Eddie Howe with some straight-up deflection after an embarrassing derby loss at home to Sunderland, who they are below on the Premier League table. Blaming the system now is legitimately funny.
Newcastle are backed by the richest owners in football - Saudi Arabia's PIF - with £700 million already spent since the 2021 takeover. They've raked in massive commercial boosts from the new ownership.
The Isak excuse is laughable. They cashed in £125m+ then blew £266m on Anthony Elanga (£55m), Jacob Ramsey (£43m), Malick Thiaw (£35m), Nick Woltemade (£78m) & Yoane Wissa (£55m).
Underachieving despite massive advantages on other clubs, own your mess & stop buying the wrong players.

Howe is never going to say it, but I've thought for a while, the issue for club's like Newcastle and Aston Villa is less about being able to spend money, and more about being able to get your first choice target. That’s where PSR seems to stifle teams.
