let's talk about this one.
we deliberately decided internally that being able to adjust mint price is a feature, not a bug.
open to discussion/debate. but atm our team isn't convinced this is a real attack vector for bad actors.
let's talk through a few scenarios:
- mint begins as free, and then turns to paid. this means early minters were rewarded for being early. later minters see price and decide if they want to purchase.
- mint begins at X and then price is raised subsequently. same scenario as above, early minters got a better price and later minters can choose to participate or not.
- mint begins as X and then price is later reduced. this is sometimes a necessary creator lever if supply exceeds demand and the mint has stalled.
help me understand how a bad actor could use this to trick buyers? the price is always shown at purchase and users can decide if they want to proceed?
imo this is like telling a retail store they can't change the price of an item once it hits the shelf. reality is they can and do adjust this based on supply/demand mechanics. why should digital sales be treated differently?
our team has an open mind and is willing to potentially reconsider. but we'd need to be convinced this is something that's really harming users and being used to manipulate them. the arguments made so far don't seem to reach that bar.

@HollanderAdam Thanks please can we also set rules concerning sudden change in mint prices once minting has started? Especially if the initial mint price was fully communicated. Or users be notified via a warning that the creator can change minting price at any time. @HollanderAdam
