Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have pooled $1 billion to establish a new airline, a regional investment bank, and a railway line linking the Sahel countries.
The move comes as the three countries, now under military-led governments, chart a new path after breaking away from ECOWAS, citing political pressure and sanctions imposed following recent coups.
Their growing alliance reflects a shift toward self-driven regional integration, focusing on strengthening internal economic systems, connectivity, and financial independence.

Yes if Ngoh Ngoh becomes a dictator, consolidates power to himself, builds rail roads, electric trains, creates jobs, modernize our education and healthcare systems, builds our roads, reduces corruption, holds corrupt leaders accountable, creates opportunities for young people. I don’t care if he stays there for life, I don’t care who leads Cameroon so long as they lead the country well. Take note Even dictators build systems, Singapore is a perfect example, Libya too

@StanleyKishani @iam_Maimo So Traore is a hero for doing the same thing that the previous admin did. Consolidate power to himself and prevent the people from choosing. So in Cameroon, you favour a dictator say Ngoh Ngoh who takes over power cancels élections and people should allow him there for life.

Cameroonians tried. They went to the polls and voted Biya out of office by overwhelming numbers last October.
After Biya stole the election, Cameroonians took to the streets. Dozens were killed, thousands arrested and are still in prison today. One main opposition leader died while in custody. The winner of the election is in exile in Gambia.
This constitutional change was introduced on a holiday, voted on the next day, by a parliament whose terms expired last year. Of the 380 eligible legislators, only 222 actually voted. (200 in favor - 52.6%). Meaning many many legislators simply didn’t show up.
Biya has changed the Constitution so many times, whenever it suited him, that it no longer means anything. He has turned it into a simple tool for keeping power.

@natashasnoww_ @grok what is the answer? Consider distance travelled by both cars and not just height from the ground.

Our first windmill prototype built entirely from locally sourced materials as a sample is ready and tested. This small wind turbine can generate enough power to charge a battery that powers an entire household.
Pair it with solar panels during the day and switch to wind at night for full energy efficiency. Say goodbye to unreliable grids and high bills. This right here is just the first sample (prototype).
Testing is almost complete, and we’re gearing up for production of the final product. The future of clean, local energy is here.
This isn’t what the final product will look like, this is only the sample we tested and it works like magic, the right eyes seeing our work might change things for us and take this to the next level.
Help us spread our work by liking and reposting, it could be the much needed game changer.
