Another fkd up verdict out of NY. “Absolutely disgraceful that NYPD Sergeant Eric Duran has been sentenced to 3-9 years in prison for making a good faith decision to stop a fleeing drug dealer and protect other NYPD officers. Sgt. Duran was leading an undercover operation in the Bronx. The drug dealer was speeding away on a motorbike in the direction of two officers making another arrest. To stop the drug dealer, Sgt. Duran threw a cooler at the dealer knocking him off the bike causing fatal head injuries. Sgt. Duran, who had an exemplary record, was found guilty of manslaughter. His conviction and sentence are a terrible abuse of justice! Indefensible verdict and sentence!”
