@HansGruber_DH @kurt13warner He hadnt even met "the ground" at that point. He didnt land on his feet, they touched as we went to ground. Its not a catch until hes secured it and is on the ground, play over. It sucks but it's not a tragic ref error

Bc it couldn’t have been a catch with Cooks going to ground & him not ending up with the ball! I fully understand WHY everyone says that and what it looks like visually, but if a player is deemed going to the ground he must secure ball until end of play (when refs determine play is over), if they do not the only other options are incomplete (if it hits ground) or interception (if it didn’t hit ground)! In the booth they determined the ball never hit the ground so there is only one other option, the officials ruled correctly so no need for a lengthy review bc there was no other conclusion! We don’t have to like it, but from everything I have gathered that is the correct interpretation of the rules!
