First butterflies of the year for me , but not in ones or twos. Plenty of Peacocks, Brimstones, Small Torts, Commas and Speckled Woods. Feeding on blackthorn or pussy willow, or busy mating. Cheshire

Popped up to local moorland on the off chance of spotting red grouse. Turns out this one was waiting for me.

We saw this squirrel stealing bird food today and noticed unusual markings on its back. We're these natural or the result of injury. Rotate the image and it looks like someone has added a smiley face!

Black-tsiled Godwit on the River Clwyd estuary on a very, very windy day. Had to give up looking for the Lesser Yellowlegs.

@JohnAcid @ScottStaffs The butcher in my local farm shop sold savoury ducks. Then it changed hands and the savoury ducks changed too. And not for the better. I think the old butcher still has a shop not too far away.
