The fight against spam didn’t start yesterday. It’s been a constant since I entered this space over a decade ago. I said no to investors. I said no to Binance buying OuroX. I said no to turning it into a shitcoin casino. We shut the exchange down rather than chase revenue built on Wall Street tactics. I said no to $10M in a grant from Hedera. Losing over $1M in the process over the years, was sticking to principles worth it? I don’t know, guess we’ll find out. Not because it was easy. Because it was obvious where it leads. Vitalik. Roger Ver. Jihan Wu. Craig Wright. Different paths, same idea. More data, more throughput, more “use cases” on-chain. Less emphasis on running a node. Less emphasis on constraints. That was the line then. It’s the same line now. And once again, people are trying to blur it. Bitcoin doesn’t need to be everything. It needs to be sound. Verifiable. Hard to change. Expensive to corrupt. Spam isn’t innovation. It’s a byproduct of misaligned incentives. Same as then, the so-called toxic maximalists will win. Ossify.

"I DO NOT LIKE SPAM BUT..." - Program Director of @BTCPrague (@Matyas44Cook) If he doesn't correct the course then I wouldn't be surprised if @BTCPrague becomes the shitcoin conference 2.0 at some point.

@Conspire4Truth @RonSwanonson Yeah, obviously number-go-up is nice from an investment perspective so long as the system holds together. But, if Bitcoin doesn't have a meaningful impact, all that won't matter much on the longer-term.

@RonSwanonson @SteveW928 The more a person is into Bitcoin the less they are into ‘number go up’ and the more they are into ‘change the world.’ ‘Number go up’ conversations are boring.

People say Bitcoiners are in it for the gains But full honestly; I would give up every single sat I owned if it meant putting the world on a Bitcoin standard I’d do this even at 42, because even having to start over, the world being on a Bitcoin standard would mean vastly higher quality of life and fairness for all of society Prices fall forever and abundance begins to spread

@steve_hanke Probably some fun with statistics going on here, because I doubt 73% of Americans are morons. Whether you're a warmonger, a pacifist, or somewhere inbetween, we obviously can't just stop.

Only 27% of Americans support continuing the war in Iran. THE US PUBLIC IS TURNING ON TRUMP, THE WAR PRESIDENT.

I'm aware of Square terminals, and know this is USA-only for now. But, does anyone know of various chains like grocery stores and gas stations or such (things we all need everyday type stuff) have these kind of terminals? Or, is this mostly smaller independent shops (like coffee shops and farmer's market vendors, etc.)? Once we can grocery shop, buy gas, etc. directly with Bitcoin, that will indeed be a huge win.

Most merchants accepting bitcoin today won't even know they're doing it. Square just turned it on by default for 4 million sellers. No setup. No opt-in. Just works. This is bitcoin doing what it was designed to do. Peer-to-peer money showing up at the cash register while Wall Street is still debating allocation models. Forget the ETFs. Forget the TradFi on-ramps. This is the real Trojan horse. Millions of coffee shops and restaurants running bitcoin payments in the background. Programmable money. Working exactly as designed. Kudos to the team at Block for making this happen.

@Mi_halb @RonSwanonson That's the story they tell you to keep the anti-Robbin-Hood game going. (ie. steal from the plebs, give to the elites) The debt-based inflationary fiat system.

@RonSwanonson The only abundance under Bitcoin standard would be unemployment. No Bitcoiner fights for deflationary money as they know it’s shit and they wouldn’t make a dime of it. They only pump their own bag! Anyway - world moved on and people give a fuck about Bitcoin

@smdevereaux @chrismartenson I hope you're correct. I'd love to see the IRGC wiped from the face of the Earth, but I worry they'll remain in power w/o substantial boots on the ground.

@chrismartenson Iran can't win. A million IRGC soldiers can't replenish munitions and are scattered, grossly outnumbered by civilians. Iran can't win.

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. America is the wealthy, capable, relentlessly active grandfather who still pays the bills, still fixes the roof, still shows up when danger turns financial or physical, and still serves as the family’s emergency backstop. Europe, Britain and Australia are the adult children who mismanaged their own households, neglected their own responsibilities, and now spend their time lecturing the one relative still keeping the lights on. That is not an alliance at its healthiest. It is a dependency with an attitude and accountability problem. Article | spectator.com.au/2026/04/the-we…

@MagneticNorse Not a railgun. Railguns drive current through the bullet creating Lorentz force that accelerates it. This is a coilgun, sequential coils pulling it forward. Current examples like the China demo (please check the link) no more powerful than an air rifle. youtube.com/watch?v=qy-ozr…

Everyone who says it doesn’t matter if Iran acquires nuclear weapons should have a serious conversation with reality. “It’s just a small bomb somewhere far away.” “Iran has the right to defend itself.” “It’s only Israel that has a problem.” No. It’s our problem. Everyone’s problem. And to all those who still claim “Iran didn’t even have nuclear weapons” or “they weren’t even close”… Wake up. According to the IAEA, before the attacks in 2025 Iran had accumulated hundreds of kilograms of uranium enriched to 60% - only a small technical step away from the 90% needed to make nuclear weapons. That was enough to produce material for several bombs in a very short time. Denying this is either naive or deliberate misinformation. Before Trump, seven Democratic and Republican presidents said that Iranian extremists must be prevented from getting their hands on these weapons of mass destruction. Now the media and the Democrats suddenly seem indifferent. That tells you everything about what is really going on. Because it is now Trump who has acted decisively and put a stop to the threat, it is suddenly “wrong.” The same political move, the same objective that previous presidents have had, is being condemned simply because the man behind it is named Donald Trump. It is not about the actual political decision or about protecting the West from a nuclear-armed theocracy. It is about a deep, personal, emotional, and media-created hatred of one man - a hatred so strong that it overrides logic, security policy, and common sense. A nuclear-armed Iran would give the Iranian regime - and its allied militias - a military immunity that no other power in the Middle East possesses. They could threaten and control the entire region, threaten Europe with rockets and terrorism, and do whatever they wanted without any real resistance. And if they were to honestly say out loud what their dream is, it is not only about Israel. It is about a Shia caliphate, where people like you and me become second-class citizens in our own Europe. Those who close their eyes to this are the same people who never want to talk about the obvious connection: the left-wing naivety and the genuinely anti-Western attitudes that today actively support the Islamic movement in Europe. They actually share a common project: to break down the traditional family - the foundation of society - economic self-determination (freedom instead of control), and the Western civilization as we know it. That is why we all should all be deeply grateful that Donald Trump is back in the White House. So thank you - because someone finally dares to act instead of just talking nicely about - and defending against real threats that can change our children’s future forever. This is not a distant Middle Eastern conflict. It is an existential threat to the world we want to pass on. ❤️‍🔥🪽
