@Muay_thai_Tone I was never really interested in trail bikes but they make perfect sense nowadays with the state of the roads. I don’t use my heated grips every morning, I swap my gloves around when it’s cold.

@SteveW_KBF Yea, the A/T soaks up the pot holes. I used it for last 3 weeks, very early starts so it's been sooo cold but heated grips, touring screen kept me warmer.

Managed a little shakedown run on the 500 Still can’t get the rear brake to work after a specialist rebuilt it 😡 Wasn’t a fast ride as new tyres on and been stood all winter So easy to ride 😉💨💨

@SteveW_KBF There was a report awhile back from Bromley council i think it was? They said no to LTN and kept the speed limit at 30mph and they had no problems at all for the whole year.

What a croc of shit... It now takes me 45mins to an hour to drive from Bond street to A12 East Cross Route. That's about 6 miles give or take. Also that's at 4am..

Nobody in government wants to hear it, but this needs to be said. UK roads are a complete national embarrassment. We pay: Fuel duty. Road tax. Council tax. VAT on every single car repair. Billions of pounds. Every single year. And in return? Potholes the size of paddling pools. White lines so faded they're basically suggestions. Street lights that haven't worked since 2019. Pavements so broken disabled people can't use them. Last year the average UK driver spent £143 repairing pothole damage. Tyres. Wheels. Suspension. Out of your own pocket. Because the council won't accept liability. They never do. How could they? They're completely faultless, no? You report the pothole. They send a man with a van. He looks at it. He leaves. You report it again. Nothing. You report it a third time. They fill it with something that lasts until the next rainfall. It's back within a week. Why fix it properly when you can keep pouring money into it, literally... But your road tax went out on the 1st. Like clockwork. Every. Single. Month. Where is the money going? Genuinely. Where is it going? Does anyone have a good answer???

@Engineer4Health I also did Technical drawing during my apprenticeship in the late 80’s. I think I still have a 1:4 scale drawing of the then new Ford Granada Scorpio that we had to draw. And I definitely still have my Fixpencil 77 drafting pencil.

I learned traditional technical drawing in secondary school. Was top of that year’s class, too!
