👏 Amazing work by former MP Roger Mullin 👏 After raising a petition with the Scottish Parliament and after a long time campaigning, Transparency Task Force Ambassador Roger Mullin, formerly a Scottish National Party MP, has received a formal commitment from the Scottish Government to implement his petition and reform the law of Scotland to stop abusive lawsuits from those, such as Oligarchs and corporations, who would prevent public scrutiny of their behaviour. TTF salutes Roger and all the campaign work he does - this is a particularly impressive achievement.

After a summer of wildfire and floods, and records broken here in the UK, yesterday's announcement is barely fathomable. Future generations will ask why, after these stark signs, the government would put this country’s global leadership on climate change into reverse. Fairness should absolutely be central to any change, but it is not fair that our children will have their future blighted by the poor decisions made today. It isn't fair that businesses that have invested heavily in pioneering green technologies and the jobs of tomorrow will have to put their plans on ice, nor that changes in policy endanger our much-loved cultural heritage and natural environment, undermining everything from food security to our health and wellbeing. And it isn't fair that the poorest in our society will lose out most in the future. Progress towards Net Zero must be sustained, not kicked down the road for political expediency. We urge the Prime Minister and his Government to rethink.
