⚠️🚧 A4067 - Ystradgynlais to Cray 🚧⚠️ The A4067 between Caerbont roundabout and the C0200 Hoel Giedd junction on the Ystradgynlais bypass is currently closed due to a landslide. The road will be closed while we arrange for removal of debris and make the area safe to reopen.

The crew from Abercrave have spent the last three days fighting this forestry fire in our local area. It’s safe to say the crew will be glad to see some rain in the coming days 🔥🚒@mawwfire

A great afternoon helping dosbarth 3 from Ysgol Y Cribarth with their experiments. We hope all the kids enjoyed as much as the Firefighers did. @mawwfire

Tomorrow we say goodbye to both of our appliances as they’re to be replaced with a Volvo pump and a Ford Ranger. Both appliances have been here at Abercrave for many years and have been a familiar sight in our local area. Rosie (Rosenbauer) and Glenda (Defender) will be missed!

Very proud moment for Prees Fire Station in Shropshire. We have taken delivery of our new community fire appliance… It’s a new scania built by Emergency one . It’s 1 of 10 new appliances rolling out across the county….

Busy few days again for Station 11. 11P1 has been mobislied to 2 alarms, assisting the ambulance and twice for structural damage, including a call to our own station (thanks to the estates department and the crew at Pontardawe for their assistance) 🚒

Temporary Road Closure: C0200 YSTRADGYNLAIS, SWANSEA will be in place on the 23 Feb 2022 (9am-5pm) on behalf of Powys County Council, while they do works to undertake bank repairs - erosion protection. @PowysCC @TrafficWalesN

URGENT ROAD CLOSURE: C0198 STATION ROAD, CAEHOPKIN, ABERCRAVE will be in place on the 14-18 Feb 2022 (8am-5pm) on behalf of Powys County Council, while they do works to felling of dangerous trees. @PowysCC @TrafficWalesN

A busy end to 2021 and busy start to 2022 for the Crew at Station 11. A House fire, domestic alarms, chapel fire, vehicle fire and a RTC were some of the incidents 11P1 was mobilised to. 🚒

Yesterdays MOTM was @CianGwilym Simply put, Cian was immense! Well done Cian 👏💪 Also a special mention for @NicNicshaver Outstanding after a difficult week! It was brilliant to see Shaver watching, it just wouldn't be the same without him! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.❤

We are saddened to hear of the passing of retired WM Mal Berry from Glynneath Fire Station service number 77192 Enrolled 01/08/1981 Retired 07/12/04. Our thoughts are with your friends and family.

11P1 was alerted to an RTC Wednesday afternoon. Crews from Abercrave worked very well with crews from Pontardawe,South Wales FRS and other emergency services in challenging circumstances! 🚒🚓🚑
