Things I think are of the highest probability: - US and Iran politicians have a side deal that has been in place for a few weeks. - The loose wire is IRGC, who can't know about the deal or else the moderates will be ridded out. - Jawboning back and forth is to protect the moderates and show them as anti-US. - The trick now is how do you defeat the IRGC who are battle hardened extremists, who can hole up and pester the Strait.
