It’s said that a lie can get around the world before the truth has a chance to put its pants on.
This clip is a really good reminder that the job of defending Canadian oil and gas never stops.
Pierre does a masterful job of dispelling lies that have been told about Canada’s oil sands.
Canadian energy, specifically from the oil sands and Fort Mac, is ethical and adheres to world-class safety and environmental standards.
Our oil and gas displaces far worse forms of energy, from far worse countries, to give Canadians a far better standard of living.
All we need to do is tell the truth and correct falsehoods when we hear them.

If Texas were its own country, we would be the 4th largest oil producing country in the world. Thank you @GovAbbottPress for your leadership encouraging investment and partnerships. Thank @PierrePoilievre and @StevenBonkMP for working to support #oilandgas that powers our lives
Governor Abbott Press Office@GovAbbottPress
Governor @GregAbbott_TX met with Canadian Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre today at the Governor's Mansion. The Governor and the Opposition Leader spoke about boosting trade ties, especially in regard to Canada and Texas' booming energy industries.

Canada shipped $7 billion worth of oil and gas to Texas in 2024 alone.
This essential partnership gets Canadian energy to global markets, creates paycheques on both sides of the border, and helps fuel our friends.
I met with President Todd Staples and Director Matt Patterson of the @TXOGA to grow that relationship, so we can build strength at home for unbreakable leverage abroad.

Billions of dollars of liquid gold roll on rail cars from Canada to Texas every year. That means fuel for our friends, paycheques at home, and funds for critical services our people depend on.
I met with Chairman Jim Wright and Executive Director Wei Wang of the @txrrc to deepen our partnership and get more Canadian oil & gas to market.
Let's work together to unlock our energy potential and provide security and prosperity for both our countries.

Texas and Canada don’t just share energy strength, they feed North America.
In Austin, I met with the @TexasDeptofAg, alongside MP @StevenBonkMP, to grow our agri-food trade, especially in beef, so our ranchers can sell more, earn more, and strengthen food security on both sides of the border.
Let’s cut red tape, expand tariff-free market access, and back the producers who put food on our tables.

Met with executives at Houston's @TCEnergy office to discuss the future of Canadian oil and gas.
With the right policies, Canada and the United States can keep exporting reliable energy that provides security, creates jobs on both sides of the border, and helps our allies break their dependence on hostile regimes.

Advocated for Canada’s workers and businesses in today’s meeting with Texas Governor @GregAbbott_TX and Canadian MP @StevenBonkMP.
In 2024, Texas was Canada’s second-largest export destination, and our fourth-largest trading partner overall, with $75 USD billion in trade. This included billions in Canadian natural resources and manufactured goods, including nearly $7 USD billion of oil and gas in 2024 alone. Over the past decade, Texas has brought $4.7 USD billion in capital investment to Canada, creating over 6,500 new jobs.
With a CUSMA review on the horizon, discussions like this one are more important than ever. Our goal is to make Canada strong at home so we have unbreakable leverage abroad.

@PierrePoilievre and I are down in Texas. We’re standing on 350,000 barrels of Canadian oil in that big white tank.
That’s about 25 million litres of gasoline after distillation. Enough to fill roughly 200,000 pickup trucks.
Simply moving that volume of material from the oil sands through Saskatchewan to Houston for processing is a marvel of engineering.
All of this is done safely and reliably every day. Canadian energy is the way to go. We need more pipelines now.

English

This is how canada punches above its weight.
Canadian energy and Enbridge’s world class infrastructure move oil south to the United States and around the world.
@PierrePoilievre and I met with enbridge CEO Greg Ebel.
We need more pipelines to bring the best energy in the world to the people of the world.

Calgary’s @Enbridge is the single biggest oil energy exporter from the U.S. They are in 43 states employing thousands on both sides of the border.
Met CEO Greg Ebel to talk about powering the continent and the world, making Canada the richest and most affordable country on earth.

English

Look! It’s Canadian oil making the world a better place.
I’m with our leader @PierrePoilievre down in Texas this week.
The oil in these tanks flows right through my farm in Saskatchewan all the way to Houston.
This is a marvel of engineering and we need more of it - more Canadian oil and more pipelines to get it to the world.

English

The Canadian oil in these tanks flows through my farm on SouthBow's pipelines to here in Houston. Canadian energy is North American energy.
We need more pipelines!
Pierre Poilievre@PierrePoilievre
Oil from Hardisty, Alberta travels the Keystone pipeline all the way to this Houston Tank Terminal where a Calgary company, @SouthBowEnergy, distributes it far and wide. It powers 🇨🇦 paycheques and fuels our 🇺🇸 friends. We must unblock production to supply even more oil, which will give us leverage for tariff-free trade.

@JimboPopowich @Susan00510080 This shouldn’t be a gotcha moment. I completely understand why someone might think I’m just making stuff up.
Scurvy? Really?
Yes, really. People getting sick because of malnutrition.
I really hope people understand just how serious this is.
English

@Susan00510080 @StevenBonkMP Lac la Ronge Saskatchewan, 25 cases.
English

This Liberal is so disconnected from reality.
He’s bragging about projects and agreements that don’t exist, while people in his riding are suffering from scurvy due to malnutrition. And I really wish I were joking.
These Liberals need to get their act together. Canadians are suffering on their watch.
