Are you seeing a lot of atheist saying there IS life on other planets or they think or believe based on their calculation of probability that there may be? I have never heard someone say they KNOW.

I guess I am needed again to explain to people that atheism is in fact a belief. I will take on any challengers who think they have the knowledge and skill level to prove me wrong with substantive evidence and logic. Good luck with that! Atheism: The belief there is no God.

@Hondo320F16 @SteveMcRae_ You commented on both ends of the spectrum but if in the middle we would still have no evidence. The shear size of the universe means evidence would be tricky to come by. The Drake equation mearly suggests they are statisticaly likely. We will never know them.

This is the only intelligent reply in the thread. The problem is there are numerous unknowns in the calculation. Experts have made educated guesses at them, but the answer varies from <1 planet with intelligent life to thousands. The fact that no evidence has been found implies that "thousands" is highly doubtful, which leaves us with the other end of the spectrum. Frankly, why can't the correct answer be "I don't know"....because we really don't.

I’ve got a theory that human males evolved to generally die off between age 35 and 40 when their sperm takes a dive in quality. In other menopausal species, males die decades before the females. Males living unnaturally long lives has caused massive problems.
