49% more likely than what? You can't just write "49% more likely," which is a comparative stat, without explaining what the chatbots' performance is being compared to.

@JamesSurowiecki @mantwig93 But you don't really know the plot of the movie. The pilot may be Christ-like in other ways, which would make this timing in the plot too on the nose.

@mantwig93 There's nothing poetic about it, unless, as I said, you view the aviator as an allegory for Christ - which is insane.

What does this tweet even mean? That a military aviator flying a fighter jet doing bombing runs is somehow analogous to Jesus? Come on.

There’s more important issues that we’re facing every single day that are more important than if the Bulls are in the play in game? Get your priorities straight my guy and stop living your life vicariously through sports…It’s not that serious and stop taking what the team does as a personal attack on YOU 😉

@EveryGreen100 @ComicDaveSmith No specifics about what? You asked me why I cared about him. I told you. You twisted what I wrote, and I twisted it back. A sentence is not a salad.

@EveryGreen100 @ComicDaveSmith No, I think he's genuinely wrong about most of the things that he says and that he believes. If I meant what you said I meant, I would have said it. No translation necessary.

@pintupi73 @ComicDaveSmith Sure, there's a pretty pernicious gang of anti-israel podcastbros out there. But does he constantly bring up that one time on Rogan, 12 months ago, when he had a conversation with one of them?

@StevenPBenn @ComicDaveSmith Every time I see him on a podcast or writing about something and the topic comes up he talks about the gang of anti-israel podcastbros. It's pretty much whenever Israel comes up.

@leest_mee @tylersbs @ohwenjonez @iAnonPatriot Speaking of confusing signals, have you tried reading your own writing? I honestly don't even know what you're saying. They picked a black guy because they needed a black guy, but he's capable because they're all capable? That's your grand point in all these words?

No, all of them are able and still also "tokens". Because of the high profile of this mission. NASA historically does that. Just look it up. They have the privilege of needing only a few faces while being guaranteed of a pool of more than capable people to choose from. They can only do so because other talented people tolerate it. Maybe even are ok with it, not everyone wants to have cameras pointed at them. It's still very derogatory to the crew actually flying the mission though. Knowing you're there and not on some other mission because you aren't born with a penis or with more melanin in your skin. The only signal NASA is giving is a confusing one. And I love how this man just didn't care about that. Living in a household full of women made him immune to manipulation I guess. Good on him.

Victor Glover absolutely SCHOOLS a woke reporter trying to get a DEI answer out of him.. “I hope one day we can look at this as ‘human history’ — not black history or women’s history..” 👏👏

That´s because it still is. It´s just lucky that even with unwanted DEI policies favoring Canadians in the spotlight, there´s many skilled Canadians to choose from. Pretty sure there´s a bar for the merit side of things too. Unlike DEI policies throughout companies like Boeing, where they tried to fix their previous mistakes by adding chaos in the mix in places where they desperately needed leadership. I get why you think it´s racist or sexist to call out DEI, but the thing is, the policy is divisive, not the one calling it out. If these Canadians were randomnly chosen from otherwise an equally capable pool of candidates, it would be fine. The reality is that it is very unlikely for a US government agency to randomnly choose two Canadians from all the people able to do so within that specific organization. So while capable individuals, the policy is still sexist, racist and culturalist and setting a bad example since most organizations do not have the privilige of instating years long programs to prep and weed out the people who aren´t capable. Hope that helps.

@JessPected @jowrotethis So, yes cancel culture is a good thing and a societal goal. I'm not sure why people don't ever say that when that's what they feel. Good for you for saying it.

@StevenPBenn @jowrotethis I think abusive people (& grifters) invented a phrase to cry about accountability that largely does not exist. I do wish accountability existed & I wish as a society we didn't empower abusers to continue to have access & power to abuse. Until then, people will tell on themselves.

@ComicDaveSmith Yeah, who needs these guys? They don't even go on a bunch of shows and repeat the same talking points over and over again. Shout out to the real ones, Dave. You baby. Repeat those talking points. We love to hear them.

@JessPected @jowrotethis So you're saying it's not real, but it should be real, right? Like, Louis C.K. should not be allowed to headline the Hollywood Bowl. Should he? I think we can all agree that his career should be cancelled, can't we?

@jowrotethis Enjoying the guys explaining "cancel culture" doesn't mean permanent. So pause culture? Vacation culture? Ran to the bathroom culture?

The rewatchables is admittedly not a place for nuanced takes, but bummed to hear one participant ruin the end of CR month by calling Guy Pearce antisemitic. It’s an irresponsible lie

@Holden_Culotta If Massie loses then democracy is over. Thank you for being one of our bravest left-wing voices, Dave! Let's go democracy! No Kings! Everyone, follow Dave's lead and hitch your reputation to a politician. We can't lose! USA! USA! Iran! USA!

Dave Smith just declared: “Thomas Massie’s race is a must-win for this country.” “Thomas Massie is hated by the Trump administration … for the crime of not wanting to cover up the Epstein files.” “Not wanting to get us into stupid new wars.” “The Israel lobby pumps tens of millions of dollars into your race to unseat you for the crime of actually being America First.” “And having some semblance of fiscal responsibility.” “This is like, is there any such thing as democracy?” “If that’s enough to get you unseated in Congress, then the political means have been exhausted.” “And we’re in a really ugly place in this country.” @ComicDaveSmith @MassieforKY @RepThomasMassie
