You can only dehumanize people so much before they come to see it is you that lacks any humanity. Don't expect kindness or even civility from those you've treated as subhuman.

@moggedbyICEERO @BasOMatic @Ranting_Trans I didn't cite a statistic. Do you know what statistics are? You claimed most were atheists. The reality is that mass shooters reflect our religious demographics w/ christians being the majority, something y'all brag about for power. If you cared about mass shootings, look to men.

@NheddieGetsFit I can't comment on other religions where they have dominance but certainly in the USA where christians are the majority, they certainly delight in their privilege to be cruel & oppressive.

@JessPected Christianity, IME, has a monopoly on "yes, I'm a jerk, but it's cool & I don't need to try to become a better person because Jesus loves me just the way I am!"

Absolutely amazing that birth rates drop like a stone in every place women have rights and you still don't get this wasn't consensual.

@Qwertyuiopnydk @KitsuneKismet @windinthemeadow People can (ignorantly) disagree with the reality that women have fewer children now thanks to birth control & marital rape laws but you getting so angry & abusive is a confession. Next time try to be rational & not so hemotional & you won't tell on yourself.

Again, the idea that “working class” would exclude people with college degrees functionally kicks America’s largest labor unions by membership (teachers and healthcare workers) out of “the working class,” and what a coincidence, they’re mostly women!
Jane Coaston 🏔️@janecoaston

see, I think "working class" should mean nail techs and waitresses (and baristas), but the way the term is wielded in politics -- that's... not what it means.

@bisynaptic Homosexual men do not pursue women for male approval & don't need to use women as mouthpieces for their homoeroticism.

Woman: that bulky veiny look is for the male gaze Man: you're wrong Men insist women desire what men find desirable in other men then blame women for male (power) beauty standards. Men need women as props to justify their desires then blame women when they can't meet them.

after all. Apparently there is a significant amount of support and empathy for Bear’s character. I lost that pretty fast. This movie is absolutely worth the watch and a deep dive afterwards. @JessPected have you seen this one?

#Obsession was recommended to me. So glad I listened. It was creepy af, brilliantly acted, and worthy of detailed discussion. Well filmed with shadows & unsettling music. The content is SO IMPORTANT & relevant. It did NOT go unnoticed the lead’s name is BEAR. Not safe to choose

OMG WTF did i just watch #Obsession was honestly a really good watch. It doesn't rely on loud jump scares—instead, it slowly gets under your skin with its creepy atmosphere and solid performances. The middle feels a bit slow, but the ending completely makes up for it. If you're into psychological horror, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot. ★★★★☆

@harvey_cynthis @JessPected I think it was made up as rage bait. I’m a woman on the thinner side and there’s no way I weigh the same as a man with bulging veiny muscles.

Another day of men being outraged that women aren't attracted to their male power fantasy crushes & calling women liars for opting out as buffers for their homoeroticism. This has apparently broken their brains & they can't recover.

Sounds like you don't understand the term. Being curious about the patriarchal conditioning men receive that causes their worldview doesn't actually require sympathy for abusers. What a weird position to take for a feminist.

emma@emmatranter_

I hate “himpathy” as a term, plenty of feminists are curious about the psychology of oppression, the ways the conscious mind protects itself from acknowledging wrong-doing etc etc, and it is (at best!) uncomradely to frame that as sympathising with the enemy lol

@EOpsych What often happens to women in higher education post rape? (Dropping out of school, taking gap years, being deemed mentally unfit to continue with studies.) Who’s more likely to suffer sexual violence in war?

@EOpsych If he cared about these things he would care about sexual abuse. Why is women’s labour force participation limited? (children, and you would be naive to think women in the third world are having 5-10 for the love of it.) Why do young girls often drop out of school? (Pregnancy)

@JKirpestein Reminded of the point about women supposedly not knowing what they want to eat, why do men need women to decide for them?

@JessPected And it suddenly becomes clear where the saying ‘women don’t know what they want’ comes from. We know perfectly well what we want. But some entitled pricks will just gaslight us because they cannot accept we don’t want what they want.

@bambooacrobat @Stardate325858 @MollyOShah You not belonging to a wealthy man's economic class doesn't prohibit your solidarity with men, hence your male supremacist hate movement. Same as white supremacists will have solidarity with white people regardless of economic status or gender.

Like Grim, this is indistinguishable from the MRAs on the right. "Toxic femininity" or "misandry" is a common rebuttal to feminist analysis of men as a class oppressing women. If there's no oppressor, there's no oppression.

@bambooacrobat @MollyOShah That isn't the definition of class. You absolutely enforce the privileges of your class. MRAs are a supremacist hate movement for that very purpose. Male supremacy is a cornerstone of conservatism but some MRAs squat on the left because they hope to benefit from economic policies

@JessPected @MollyOShah You're begging the question. Men and women aren't classes. I'm not responsible for what other men do or vice versa. Also, MRAs like myself are usually politically homeless bc neither the left or the right give two shits about men's rights.

Peanut butter is the only character I care about surviving Cape Fear. (I'm sorry Amy Adams.)
Meloş@MelosFaber

#CapeFear I couldn't stop laughing the way that cat looked up at Anna and Tom and let out a quiet meow - like "yes parents, I told it 10000 times, that I don't like my name" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
