@FoxNews Trump was gonna pardon him. This way, if he's convicted after a retrial, he might not be able to buy his way out like Trump's other immoral billionaire class buddies.

BREAKING: The South Carolina Supreme Court is overturning the murder conviction of Alex Murdaugh in a unanimous decision. Murdaugh was convicted in March 2023 of double homicide of his wife and son. The court is ordering a new trial, saying that Mary Rebecca Hill, who served as the court clerk in Colleton County, showed "improper external influences" during Murdaugh's first trial. A post-trial court found that Hill "made improper comments to the jurors on the day Murdaugh testified” and instructed them to watch Murdaugh's body language.

POWERFUL: Former 6-foot-8 BYU standout Eli Herring REFUSED to play in the #NFL because he would not work on Sundays due to his religious beliefs. Before the draft, Herring told teams not to select him, making it clear he would not play because of his beliefs surrounding the Sabbath. The #Raiders still drafted him in the 6th round, but Herring stayed true to his faith and never played a single snap in the NFL. Herring says he has no regrets, despite believing he had the talent to become one of the league’s best. Eli is now married with seven children and works as a school teacher and assistant football coach in Utah.

@nhltraderumours The cap number is very reasonable and isn't an issue at all, especially with Dougie on his way out. The return could be an issue. My guess is the Blues would want the 12, Nemec, and Mercer. That is a lot. I'd be hesitant to trade Nemec

The Devils need scoring (27th in NHL). The Blues need to retool. Could NJ package the 12th overall pick for Jordan Kyrou? Kyrou next to Jack Hughes would be terrifying, but the $8.125M cap hit and his NTC complicate things. nhltraderumor.com/devils-trade-r…

@Laf4MVP_ This is profoundly dumb. Is this guy new to the NHL or something. He has an especially dumb face, so it shouldn't be surprising. But no, you're not giving up a massively talented 20 year old forward, and a solid 2nd pairing 24 year old D man to move up 3 spots. So dumb

@MapleLeaves34 Why doesn't Matthews get the same scrutiny from Leafs fans? Marner produced at a higher rate than him in the postseason, yet he's the one who was(and evidently still is) the whopping boy. Where is that energy for Matthews, who was getting paid more?

Good for Mitch Marner. He proved he couldn't handle the pressure in Toronto. Any success he has in Vegas doesn't take away the fact he had 9 years to produce for the Leafs and failed to do so.

Hey @PaulSaunders321, just for transparency sake, I’m a trust fund baby & my bf is loaded. My home has no morgage. All the money I make is directed into my parents’ bank account which they then give to animal shelters under the umbrella of their company Picture Perfect. I don’t need income. If I was trying to make money then I would have a membership page. I do this for Queen Elizabeth & Prince Phillip who didn’t deserve elder abuse in their final years.

I didn't think John McCain was evil. I don't think Mitch Romney is evil. I find it incredibly frustrating that so many people stayed home in 2016, 2020, and 2024. But I don't think they are evil. I think that if you still support Donald Trump, after all this, something is deeply wrong with you.

@ce7ebr1ni Obviously it's not gonna be an issue for a couple of years. But Celebrini might end up signing for the highest AAV contract ever. Smith will get big money. Misa in two seasons. Eklund will get a raise. Dickinson, Graff, Askarov, etc. Those will add up. But for now, they're good

@BBGreatMoments Everyone left? That is objectively untrue about the Mariners. They won 93 games in 2002 and 2003 and then collapsed in 2004 with many of the same key players as in 2001. They just got older and many had career years in 2001. If anything, they should have made more changes

The 1994 Expos had the best record in baseball. Then the strike came. The 1997 Marlins won the World Series. Then ownership tore the team apart. The 2001 Mariners won 116 games. Then everyone left. 10 baseball squads that should've run it back longer. Whose breakup still hurts?

@AllenSporty @kurri_jari 3 straight 70+ point seasons, 35 or more goals in 4 of the last 5 seasons( in a defensive system), and is solid defensively. He's not overpaid and calling him a 60 point winger is just dishonest. You can think Doughty should be the captain without lying about Kempe

Regarding the Next Captain of the Los Angeles Kings. It has to be Adrian Kempe. If it's not Kempe, LA should employ what the Wild did in 2000/01. Different Captain each month. Sean O'Donnell - Oct. Scott Pellerin - Nov. Wes Walz - Dec. Brad Bombardir - Jan/Feb. Darby Hendrickson - Mar/Apr.

@FBGreatMoments You gotta have Witten on the list. 4th All time in receptions. Not for TEs, but all time. Only Jerry Rice, Larry Fitzgerald, and Tony Gonzalez have more. And an excellent blocker. Which you should be as a TE. Many TEs are just basically discount WRs. Not Witten

@JeffreyBenson12 She's different? All due respect, that's BS. How is she "different"? Thete have been other players who came into the league and have been better over their first two years. The only thing different, as you have proven, is the hype machine around her.

Reading the comments is brutal - “but it has only happened 3 times in history” while not accounting for the fact that Caitlyn Clark is totally different than most other players. FanDuel’s listed price is +2200 which implies a roughly 4.35% probability of happening. If you think +2200 is too short for a single season but would be fair for her whole career, you’re implicitly saying the feat is rare enough that it would take ~22 seasons of Clark playing to make the payout worthwhile. In other words, you’re treating it as a “once every ~22 seasons” type of event → which prices a one-season prop at roughly +2200 perfectly. People saying this needs a few extra zeroes simply don’t understand how this stuff works.
FanDuel Sportsbook@FDSportsbook

There's only been THREE 50+ point games in WNBA history 😳 Can Caitlin Clark make it four & break the record this season? 🤔

Jim Kelly vs Kurt Warner is a weirdly good legacy debate. Kelly gave you the longer run, the K-Gun Bills, and four straight Super Bowl trips. Warner’s peak was higher, he won the ring, won multiple MVPs, and somehow had two separate career arcs that felt impossible. Who had the better career?

Changing teams does not always fix a career, but for these guys it basically unlocked the version everyone remembers. Brees in New Orleans, Favre in Green Bay, Young in San Francisco, Lynch in Seattle. Those moves changed careers and franchises. Drew Brees at No. 1 feels right to me. Who would you move up or down?
