BREAKING: After hundreds of community complaints, Seattle leaders are finally shutting down the city's most notorious drug den.
During Wednesday's south precinct public safety meeting, officials said Lewis Park in North Beacon Hill would be temporarily closed for repairs. No exact date was given on when this happens.
But a full-blown gut rehab is expected in order to restore all the damage caused by drug dealers and addicts.
I went into the park today to get reaction. Unfortunately, many say they will just move to another park and continue using.

I went inside Friday evening as the Egypt vs Iran World Cup match was being played just minutes away. North Beacon Hill neighbors are losing patience with Councilmember Eddie Lin. JUST IN: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani used America’s 250th anniversary to sharply criticize the country, accusing the U.S. of allowing children to go hungry while billionaires and “oligarchs” gain more power.
He said America’s wealth was built by working people with “calloused, dirt-streaked hands" while accusing the country of allowing the wealth built by workers to be concentrated in “the soft hands of a precious few.”
