The idea that game prices will skyrocket without used/physical games is hilarious for two reasons:
1. Games compete with one another for sales, time and attention even within the same platform. If two digital games launch on PlayStation in the same month but one is bombing, it WILL have to go on sale sooner than later even without a physical version.
2. Many Nintendo games during the Switch 1 era had physical copies. They notoriously rarely went on sale anyway, because the demand and not the format dictated the price.
This whole argument is pure fearmongering from a dying breed, hoping to scare you into supporting them.
