The level of dedication the team brings to this anime each season is genuinely incridible For this episode, the Chief Animation Director revealed that they used a staggering 15,000 keyframes. They used 3D for the initial outlines, but basically the entire live performance scene was hand-drawn. Other staff shared that the team worked tirelessly on this episode for several months, to the point the light in Bibury's CG studio were always on, quoting "They're really giving it their all." #100girlfriend #アニメ100カノ

Who the fuck did this translation it's so bad. They're adding in random ass jokes for no reason. Is this official? I hope not. "You're pointing out how I look more like I teach democracy than Japanese, yeah?" Not only is this not at all what she said. It ruins the joke of her speach pattern. She's speaking *competent* Japanese with a hilariously broken non-native accent. In the next line she says "固定観念に縛られる良くないデス" Which "you shouldn't be so bound by stereotypes like that" hilarious considering she's blonde and wearing an American flag. She DOESN'T say "人は見かけによらぬもの" or similar which would be the "don't judge a book by it's cover' the whole gun thing is completely made up and a bad joke by a shitty translator who wanted to add their own HILARIOUS humor. Same with the "founding fathers" line. It's not there. Made up. Same with the "constitution" line. It's made up. Same with the next line about "market place of ideas" Same with the "fact checking" line Same with the "freedom of speech" line. Also she doesn't say her english is "nonsensical" she says "how can you be this terrible at english??" WTF IS THIS "Steak too juicy" bullshit. Holy fuck stop adding memes to your translations. Do your fucking job jesus christ. it's all bullshit.

Yarineko has got me thinking on how I miss the days when the Anime community would watch a shitty anime together and we would come together each week to collectively shit on the show together while also praising the things the anime DOES do right. It would even elevate mid series to cult status because we enjoyed the experience as a community. Now it's just "nah nigga that's goonslop" or "this is heckin problematic media" or "fuck you, I hate this show so now no one should be able to watch it." I won't lie, this show was gross even for me in a general sense. But I'm still gonna follow the 3 episode rule to see if it has qualities like the production value that makes it worth watching. Plus, sometimes you have to watch shit every once in a while to know what it looks like.
