Almost one year ago, tens of thousands of voters in Cambridge and North Dumfries placed their faith and trust in me to serve as their Member of Parliament. It is an honour and responsibility that I do not take lightly. Our neighbours cast their votes based on a set of values and convictions that I shared on countless front doorsteps, through many conversations, and at events across our community. Polls may fluctuate and the challenges we face may seem daunting, but adversity will never stop me from fighting for what’s right, and fiercely defending the values I care deeply about. Today, tomorrow, and every day that I have the privilege of serving everyone in our community, rest assured that I will proudly do so as your Conservative Member of Parliament.

Truth nuke: Reagan's 1980 victory, while decisive, was far from the pure landslide it looks like on paper. Had John B. Anderson not been part of the equation, Carter's 1980 showing would've at least been better than Dukakis' in 1988.

This is wild. Imagine being a liberal partisan or an MP, who has worked their entire political life…. To bring back the party from certain oblivion…. To have Marilyn Gladu as your poster child.

What a betrayal of her values and constituents. Gladu sold out to the highest bidder.

Good God….its all obvious now. Gladu desperately wanted to be up on stage. Poilievre didn’t give her that opportunity at the CPC convention. Carney told her she could be on stage at his convention. That was her price 🤦‍♀️

I can attest that this is true. Two years ago, I had lunch with Marilyn, and she explained that when that vote came before the House, she explicitly stated she was against conversion therapy but was concerned about elements of the bill she thought restricted freedom of speech

@electionsjoe Why?! She’s effective, pragmatic, and intelligent. Slotkin was able to win a senate seat in the same cycle Trump won her state through her messaging and policy ideas. I don’t see why you wouldn’t want her being apart of the future of the Democratic Party.
