Critical levels coming into play with $Gold
1) The 50 DMA, which has acted as a valid level of support for the majority of the last year, has now acted as a crucial level of resistance
2) The AVWAP from the 61.8% retracement from the uptrend is firming up as a confluence of support with the 38.2% retracement zone
3) Price is entering a squeeze between the 50 DMA & AVWAP at this inflection zone ~4670
4) While price is being compressed, volatility is moving in lockstep - Bollinger Bandwidth is expanding from some of the lowest levels seen in over 7 months
5) $Silver, which has held a positive correlation with $Gold, has led the short-term break higher out of a similar price formation
$Gold is likely rounding out the final phase of its corrective wave.
Look for a decisive move to the upside above the 50 DMA ~4800 to confirm the next leg higher. Expect volatility to mean-revert and expand with price.
