My Covid infection 3 years ago was so “mild” that one could have easily mistaken it for a cold. That I’m now, 3 years later, terminally ill due to the effects of it, should be a very scary sign, especially considering my young age and healthy lifestyle prior to it. I’m sitting in a cafe and the girls on the table next me to me are trying to justify their rudeness and selfishness as symptoms of ADHD and are talking about one of their “neurotypical” friends behind her back saying they don’t know how long they can be friends with her because she doesn’t understand how their brains work. Social media has so hugely influenced people into diagnosing themselves with being neurodivergent to the point where everyone seems to have ADHD nowadays.
