Hi folks, I’m afraid it’s time for me to say goodbye. Not just leaving Twitter, but the whole show. I’ve been battling cancer last 2 years, but now only have a few days left now. Thank you wonderful people, I leave this crazy world with much love in my heart ❤️

As a PI, I love talk-invitations and find inspiration in visiting new labs. As a single mom of 2 under 10, I was paying out of pocket for care to enable such trips. It was starting to really add up. So half a year ago I began asking for reimbursement for care costs… (1/2)

What’s the relation between this golf shot and dynamic coding in PFC? Hint: the hole is an attractor state and the path of the ball is a trajectory in neural state space. Just as it’s often suboptimal to hit the ball directly at the hole, it’s the same in neural circuits! 1/4

I have extremely fond memories of my time in @StokesNeuro's lab. Alumni got together and wrote about the example set by Mark. Thanks to @Alexandra_Pike and @NoonanMP for the initiative, and to @postlelab for setting up the JoCN Special Focus of which this is part. (PDF in thread)

A little bit different from my typical cog neuro research, but, nevertheless, such an interesting and important topic. All too often, we tend to forget that science is done by groups of people, and that lab culture matters. Thanks @StokesNeuro for having been such an inspiration!

I think it's probably time to share this...I wrote a book. It's coming out in dec 2022 (in theory). It is intended to help cognitive scientists, neuroscientists and AI researchers find a common language for talking about computation and intelligence.
