It’s against many of the terms of their customers too. There are also massive political barriers And the incentives are not in place. Many people get job security by understanding legacy technology But legacy technology companies is also doing an amazing job of ensuring the people can’t change. If you threaten to terminate your contract, they threaten a massive lawsuit for software audit infringements Individual people in large companies are doing an amazing job with what they can They are curious. They are smart. But when it comes to reimagining Systems it’s going to be an incredibly difficult battle And the Business case isn’t really proven. AI is going to be far more transformative to small new companies that build around it. And some fairly new medium sized companies who can adapt meaningfully.

Lunch w/ an exited founder who helps fortune 500 companies adopt AI. Insane reality check: Some of the biggest companies on earth use *zero* AI tools. Not even ChatGPT. Execs only recognize: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini (maybe Perplexity). Everyone feels behind. Nobody knows what to buy or how to plug it in. The "AI saturation" narrative is another example of what a bubble Silicon Valley is. Rest of the world hasn’t started yet. We have to build for the 99%.
