I am excited to see where teamwork and following the science will lead this story next.

Late last year, we announced IND Safe-to-Proceed for this molecule, and now, through cross-functional collaboration with teams across Grifols, GigaGen, and the NCI, this molecule is being tested in a Phase 1 study.

This achievement has provided me with an opportunity to reflect on how we got here, and the story starts with following the science. In 2009, I became interested in how FOXO1 regulates Ctla4, and how this regulation was a crucial component of FOXO1 function.
