@TheMekon_Venus I was in middle school when this was on the air. I remember enjoying it. Darwin the dolphin, Chris Penn with gills... lot of fun ideas. Roy Scheider was disappointed in the direction they took the show, which is a shame.

Star Trek in the Ocean was an interesting idea. After all it’s still not 100% explored. Something James Cameron would use in his brilliant movie The Abyss. The question. Did Seaquest do the idea justice for TV? I have mixed feelings. I never watched it like I did Trek.. just episodes here and there.

@JoeAlderman11 Speaking as a trained zoologist who specialized in arachnids, the tick serves zero useful function. It is not a keystone species. Nothing relies on a tick's existence to survive - not even other tick species. They can all be eliminated and the world will be better off.
