Just saying....

Reducing the speed of #HS2 now is an insult. A slower speed line could have avoided ancient Woodlands, it could have avoided more communities. Now we have needless destruction baked in.

ft.com/content/033046… The contractors did not know the risks because neither HS2 nor DfT did not appreciate & did not want to know the many risks of this mad project which were there from the start. Bad management just made it far worse.

HS2 Corruption Wild said reset would be complete late 2025. Now mid March 2026 & in 'last ditch talks' so basically contractors told HS2 Ltd to piss off. If no renegotiation then Byngs estimates of £145bn still stands Only way to save is reduce scope- no Euston, no WCML link

HS2 was doomed to be a mess Reports state that the now-shortened line between Bham & Ldn could cost £81bn. Accounting for inflation, that would mean at least £100bn will be spent, but only 135 miles of railway built. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Brilliant news. HS2 Ltd is now spending up to £14 MILLION a year on PR and “external affairs” staff. ▪️Nearly 100 communications staff. ▪️12 spin doctors and social media managers costing £800,000+. ▪️38 “community engagement” staff And the PR budget has risen by almost two-thirds. Seriously! The public had no choice in HS2 so why are they pissing away our money like this? It should be spending £0 on PR.
