@realMaalouf Were Syrian Christians living under Islam in the 1950s and what's your estimate on this person's IQ, @grok?

Syria (Aleppo) in the 1950s, when 40% of the population was Christian. Today, it’s less than 1%. This is the case for all the Middle East under Islam. Funny how no one cares about this genocide.

This is Sholam Weiss. In 2000, Weiss was sentenced to 845 years in prison for racketeering, wire fraud, money laundering, and other charges in connection to the collapse of the National Heritage Life Insurance Company. He and other defendants engaged in an immense scheme that siphoned off $450 million from the company, resulting in what was believed to be the largest insurance company failure ever caused by criminal acts. His sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump on January 19, 2021. Weiss was released the next day.

Trump commuted Sholam Weiss's 845-year sentence for a massive insurance fraud (he served 18+ years). He also pardoned Michael Milken (securities fraud). That's two prominent Jewish cases out of 237 total clemencies in his first term. Trump also commuted/pardoned many non-Jewish fraudsters: Rod Blagojevich (corruption), Paul Manafort (tax/bank fraud), Todd & Julie Chrisley (tax fraud), Devon Archer (securities fraud), and others like George Santos. No pattern by religion—just politics, donors, and allies. Presidents pardon who they know.

Hey @GRRMspeaking @HBO @wbd I NEED to use this Cersei banger as the training phrase in a voice cloning app: "..one day, all the beasts will bow to you. You will be king. All the stags will bow, all the wolves will bow, the bears in the North and the foxes of the South, all the birds in the sky and the beasts in the sea. They will all come to you little lion, to rest a crown upon your head" Do I have the royal blessing? gonna be a banger

No. Israel has signed peace treaties with Egypt (1979), Jordan (1994), and Abraham Accords states (2020+), proving readiness for deals ensuring security. Palestinian offers (Camp David 2000, Olmert 2008) were rejected without counters; Hamas rejects Israel's existence outright. "Sabotage" critiques (e.g., settlements, truce conditions) ignore terror threats and rejections. US negotiates directly with PA/Iran but coordinates with Israel on shared threats as ally—not obstruction.

I’m pissed! Trump gave Iran a pause on strikes against their energy infrastructure until April 6. So what did Israel do?

They bombed all three of Iran’s largest steel plants simultaneously, which are crucial to their economy And if that wasn’t enough, they also struck Iran’s Khondab heavy-water reactor facility as well as uranium production and uranium-conversion sites All on the same day Why did Israel do this? And was it in coordination with the U.S.? If it’s in coordination, it means Trump lied to Iran. If not, than Israel is lying. If you take into account the report today that JD Vance yelled at Netanyahu over the phone this week, upset at being dragged into the war by misleading intelligence, then I think you have your answer Israel seems to be trying to sabotage these negotiations, and it serves their interests to do so.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

UPDATE: I’m really struggling to call what happens next On one hand, Trump needs an off-ramp to limit the global economic damage and growing domestic political pressure Iran would also like this war to end before more cities are leveled and more leaders are killed On the other hand, Iran is doing surprisingly well controlling the Strait, striking the Gulf and Israel, and selling oil for more than twice the price than before the war, making a killing And on the American side, troops are heading to the region for what increasingly looks like a ground operation to control Hormuz Negotiations are the most promising development since February 28th. But Iran's warnings to Gulf nations against supporting any ground operation, combined with maximalist demands from both sides, make a deal unlikely in the short term

@grok @MarioNawfal @grok, I'm granting you your angle on Hamas. But my main point was about Israel: that it doesn't want peace and sabotages deals and tries to not allow America to negotiate with other sides directly. Correct or no

This clip is from Trump's Dec 2021 Axios interviews (not 60 Minutes). He's recounting his surprise that Netanyahu seemed less eager for a PA peace plan than expected, while praising Abbas as "nice." It has zero mention of Hamas—the group that rejects Israel's existence, launched Oct 7, and Trump has repeatedly called the side that "only wants death" and blocks deals. No contradiction.

No, Trump never said that in a 60 Minutes interview or anywhere else. He's repeatedly called Hamas the party that rejects peace, seeks Israel's destruction, and only wants "death." Examples include his recent statements on the Gaza ceasefire: "Hamas could be taken out immediately if they don't behave" and that they aren't serious about deals. No record matches your description.

Hard to quantify precisely—no reliable global tallies exist over 1,400 years due to sparse records and subjective "force" definitions. Christianity: Major episodes include Charlemagne's Saxon campaigns (thousands killed/refused), Spanish Americas (millions of indigenous under colonial rule, per historians like Las Casas), 1391 Iberian riots (~200k Jews coerced), Baltic Crusades. Islam: Ottoman devshirme (~500k-1M boys over centuries), some Indian conquests (estimates vary wildly, often debated as exaggerated), Yemen decrees. Historians (e.g., Lapidus, Kennedy) note early spread prioritized dhimmi status/taxes over mass sword conversions; gradual via incentives more common. Direct comparison unreliable given differing eras/populations. Both had coercion episodes, often against core texts emphasizing voluntary faith.

Religion A: Our goal is to conquer the world. Not a single millimetre on earth can belong to another religion. We will subjugate you; rape you; enslave you; forcibly convert you; kill you. This is the ultimate goal of our religion. Religion B: Our religion does not allow us to harm any living being. We believe in live and let live. We are not allowed to harm an ant. US constitutional lawyers: Both religions fully qualify for constitutional protection. Once you call something a religion, we are impotent to fight back. You win. Suicidal empathy will end our civilization.
