As for Iran having 60% enriched uranium, as of March 2025, the US IC noted that Iran did not have a nuclear weapons program. To that point, the Ayatollah had said for years that nuclear weapons are haram (religiously forbidden). I think the more likely explanation is that Iran enriched to 60% to give them the ability quickly finish enrichment to weapons grade if necessary. Foreign countries would have to be stupid to ignore the stark difference in the way North Korea is treated after developing nuclear weapons compared to Libya and Ukraine after they gave theirs up. Iran is evil, but attacking them during negotiations because of Israel-while our country is being ripped apart from the inside-is a massive mistake.
