Today is the start of @SeriousRequest to raise money for ALS research @st_als. At 13h our PhD student @MarijeBeen will give a lecture at the Mariënburg library in Nijmegen on how we use fruit flies in ALS research.

Our PhD candidate Anne Wienand gave at talk at the #GRS on ‘Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Related Motor Neuron Diseases’ today and she’ll be staying for the #GRC. You can find her at poster #58 on Wednesday/Thursday. #ALS #CMT

Congratulations to this year‘s Awardees of the Nobelprize in Chemistry. Thanks to the development of click chemistry we are able to label nascent proteins in flies and mice. This allows us to study changes in protein translation occurring in Neurodegenerative diseases.
