I believe tournament structure affects player mentality. Single elimination BO1 pushes players to maximize win chance, so if they dislike the top decks, they may choose not to participate at all.

NR環境はまともな1枚初動がない代わりに強力な2枚コンボが沢山発見されたから、今は基本的に引きゲー。 先にコンボ成立させた方が勝つから先攻有利気味だけど複数枚初動だから再現性が薄く、後攻側の1番の勝ち筋が相手の手札事故という所は面白くない。 強い手札誘発か捲り札が来て欲しいな。

@xLust17 I think paper play is just fundamentally a different game to Master Duel. Another example of that is the Dominus cards perform much better in paper play than MD. It's obvious why, people "forget" what attributes they are locked out of.

I've seen a lot of people ask why VSK9 is so much worse in MD than in TCG. This is something people don't want to admit but I've seen time and time again. The way people shuffle in TCG/OCG is what causes VSK9 to be good. The deck is inherently not that consistent of a deck (1/X)

It's sad that people can't just say "it doesn't appeal to me" and instead feel the need to be tribal about it. Even worse is taking it one step further with arguments that show a complete lack of understanding of the format's metagame.

Genesys haters, I have a question- why? Saw a bunch of people at my local saying that Genesys “isn’t a real format” and calling it “modern but worse”. Do people not realize that even if it is a smaller format, it has a metagame with interesting and interactive gameplay?

For reference this is the first version of the deck from 2023. Man was I coping on Shogi as my singular way to threaten a set backrow xD

Topped No Riches No.183 with Predaplant Rikka. I first built the deck in 2022 when Byblisp was released, but it had major weaknesses like no backrow removal and poor resource recovery. New cards over the years have fixed many of those issues and the deck is now a powerhouse.
