This storm heading into Dallas went from a beefy meatball to almost nothing. It's really shrunk on its way in compared to what's happening near Fort Worth.

@BlGW0RM @fakecorykinnan Well how often were drop rates actually tracked back in the day? Because if we are just talking the PFF era might be hard to find some. DK Metcalf Calvin Ridley Diontae Johnson Plenty of old school guys back in the day struggled with drops and became elite. Andre Johnson

@fakecorykinnan Name one receiver who went in the first round with a history of drop problems in college and went on to be great… I’ll help you out, there’s not a single one

@breezyCLE He’s a combo WR and PR, who is quick, not fast, and has had some untimely drops. He’s better in the slot, and that doesn’t help because so is Juedy. If I’m Berry, I’m packaging the picks KC gave them, and moving up for Boston or Cooper.

I love Juan Brito’s bat, and I’m a firm believer that if you hit, you play. But if there was ever a time to use the word “unplayable” when talking about someone’s defense, it’s Juan Brito.

After scoring the first points of the game, Madison Booker missed her next 17 shots from the floor. That's the longest streak of missed field goals in a game in Final Four history.

Coaches don’t leave because of Pernetti and where the tournament is. They leave because the majority of the schools in this league have administrations that don’t care about basketball. NIL has made it a one bid league. This league doesn’t perform well in non conference games. They also aren’t leaving for lateral moves. They are leaving for much better jobs. You need close to double digit NIL funding to make it to the Sweet 16.

@markskoljrTV Blame the @American_Conf & @Tim_Pernetti for letting UAB host a tournament. Its such the hub of college hoops. Try holding it in a city of more then 400 people there @Tim_Pernetti. Guessing next yr it will be at some High School gym in North TX? This's why coaches leave the AAC

WATCH: "I coached in a game last week in a conference tournament to go to the NCAA tournament...There is more people in this building than there was in that crowd." Here were former #USF head coach Bryan Hodgson's first thoughts at his first press conference at Providence.

@DoctorSoFlo @HighPointHoops Similar NIL. Not much difference in conference. No difference in administration. Just doesn’t make sense to move laterally. There are other CUSA coaches who’d love to have USF resources that are better fits.

@DoctorSoFlo They have plenty NIL money so it’s close to a lateral move.

I also want coach H to stay without a doubt but Flynn Clayman at high point should be our first call. Young coaches that are hungry to level up is a recipe that has been working here. We should stick to it imo
Joe Green 🐂@JoeGreenUSF

I want to be very clear. I want Coach Hodgson to come back to USF. That's my preference. period. BUT, if Coach H takes the money at Providence, I will understand. Assuming that announcement comes out Monday. Now, if Coach H leaves, why not go after the UAB coach? The dude always gives us problems. He recruited Yaxel Lendeborg.... who now is an all star player at #1 Michigan. He beat Coach Amir multiple times and that's when Amir had Youngblood, Pryor, Miguel.... UAB's coach Andy Kennedy would be a good hire, IMO. He's 411-231 as a head coach. He won the C-USA tournament in 2022 when UAB was still in the C-USA, then he won the AAC tournament (beating USF in the semi-finals) in 2024. He got UAB in the NCAA tournament twice (2022 and 2024). Look at his records with UAB, 22-7, 27-8, 29-10, 23-12, 24-13, 20-12.... this dude wins every year. Conference records at UAB, 13-5, 14-4, 14-6, 12-6, 13-5, 11-7. Coach Kennedy is set to make 1.4m or 1.5m this upcoming season. Can USF offer Kennedy more? Maybe 2m? Better incentives? Bigger NIL roster than UAB could be enticing. Can we go and get this guy to be on our side? Otherwise, we gotta play against him every year. Lets just go get him! Whatchya think?

Casual basketball fans here complaining about other casual basketball fans. Nice. You guys have zero clue how college basketball scheduling works. Big schools aren’t scared they are just playing the game to boost their NET rankings. So they just aren’t giving mid majors opportunities.

UAB junior guard Jacob Meyer intends to enter the transfer portal, his agent @DanielPoneman of @WEAVE told @TheFieldOf68. The 6-2 guard averaged 12.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 2025-26. Started his career at Coastal Carolina, then went to DePaul before UAB. Career 35% 3FG.
