@Montville1845 Yeah exactly i suspect that too since even keraunos mentions it that's why by keraunos Montville
(I/E)F-5 had a 15km path and not the 30 km said in old reports
@Stormchaser_Gab With what I have, I strongly suspect the following Happened:
- 1st tornado formed on the Seine river or before Canteleu and lifted around or after Maromme.
- Montville IF5 (before Le Houlme - around Grugny)
- 3rd tornado after or around Étaimpuis but I don't know much about it.
The 2008 Hautmont EF4 was the strongest tornado to hit France since 1967 and likely the most intense tornado to hit Europe since 1984.
3 people were killed and 18 injured.
Currently rated EF4, under the IF scale this tornado could possibly be rated as high as IF5.
A thread 1/8
@Stormchaser_Gab It does have a good case for being an all timer.
But it wasn't long tracked and likely a serie of 2 or 3 tornadoes.
There was 3(4) spinning mills + houses and a farm in a 1-1.5km span with multiple instance of IF5 level damage as well as extreme contextuals + vegetation damage.
@GongZao89485 It was a very violent tornado, even more when you think that it was 150-200m wide and moving very fast (75-80 km/h) when it did all of this. It's quite unknown since it happened outside of the US.
The Pommereuil tornado of June 24th 1967 was violent, multiple brick buildings with thick walls were destroyed or suffered significant damage as you can see in pictures here.
The Palluel tornado of the same day would end up being rated IF5, the most recent IF5 to this day.
This same tree was debarked , any hardwood / softwood trees in the area were debarked , torn down and stripped them.
The three spinning mills that were extremely well built were destroyed
It horribly mutilated humans and threw them to considerable distances. (2/2)
Montville #tornado is prob one of if not the strongest tornado oat let me explain
So as we know it destroyed 3 spinning mills and litteraly destroyed fully many houses
It threw debris up to 30km even heavy ones and threw a large and giant tree up to 40 meter (1/2)
@Montville1845 Yup exactly and montville might be one if not the strongest tornadoes oat if im not wrong due to the damages done on the spinning mills and that's crazy
@Stormchaser_Gab I remember reading about it, it was a waterstrout right ?
That's sounds incredible and It is 100% worth looking into it, might research it once I'm done with Montville. I wonder how Well documented it is.
@borders_colin@MeteoExpress Alors oui on utilise l'échelle améliorer de fujita ( échelle Ef ) et la fameuse agence qui répertorie donc les phénomènes météorologiques comme les tornades en France est keraunos !
