@jackmoses0 Just got back on here after about a year of enjoying present moments and your posts have been popping up. Liking what you’re about Jack. Happy to share the space
Writing is the most powerful skill you can learn online.
It’s great for attracting an audience and scaling your business.
But most people suck at it. They think it’s because writing is hard. But here’s the real reason why (that few people consider):
You’re not learning how to write. You’re learning how to think.
Unexplored, your thoughts are chaotic. They pop in and out in a non-linear fashion at a million miles an hour. Writing is how you capture these thoughts.
But paper is unforgiving.
Your ideas need to be presented clearly, elegantly, and logically. You can’t hide poor thinking when it’s staring back at you on the screen.
You’ll get better with consistent writing. I did. But my progress only accelerated when I focused on surrounding habits.
• Read often
• Walk daily
• Meditate
• Journal
• Study mental models and biases
• Have more intelligent conversations
If this sounds like work, it’s because it is. Writing is the hardest communication technique but also the most rewarding. Most people quit, and that’s why you shouldn’t.
Think of it like being a mental athlete. Ninety percent of your results come from your actions outside of gameday.
To write well, think more.
Cheers for reading,

@StoryScientist_ It's the wrong word, concept, and ideology.
It's not the way anymore.... Everyone can give until they die.
We move on, not retire. JMO
@StoryScientist_ I think retirement means something different to the generations that came before us.
My parents worked menial, laborious jobs, that were physically and mentally draining. Seeking an end to that is understandable.
But if we're doing work that is meaningful, why should it end?
@AlexCookThinks I like the passing of the torch part. Do you think it also gives people helpful parameters on life. Like even if negative in some ways it provides tasks, goals, challenges, and hope?
@StoryScientist_ Net positive.
Yes, the idea of postponing your entire life for a "happily ever after" future is bad.
But the energetic young will benefit from the elders' wisdom and use it to innovate.
Passing on the torch to the next generation is a valuable role in humanity.
