All inclusive is only worth it when traveling to sketchy places. It means you're there for the weather and guided tours but don't want to get stabbed or harassed when going out to dinner at night. Outside of that, there is absolutely no reason to do an all inclusive. Vacations are a vacation, rich people go on vacations to do what they want to do, there is plenty of overlap with middle class people here. Rich people who flaunt their money spend extra money on things to signal to others. Most rich people didn't get rich wasting money and don't give a fuck if someone thinks they are middle class. In fact, most rich people would prefer that others think of them as middle class.

I appreciate this comment. In my experience, if you ask someone to imagine how they’d spend money if they had 20x more, they often just use their current values and increase the spending
For example, if they fly economy today, they INSIST they would “never” spend $$ to fly business class because it’s a waste, “we’re all getting to the same place,” they’d “rather spend an extra few days on vacation than on the airplane seat,” etc.
It is very hard for people to imagine substantive changes in their financial situation, which would — and should! — imply changes to the ways they spend money

This is insane. A New Jersey bill proposed (A3968) would require any driverless robotaxi to be equipped with cameras plus two additional distinct sensor types capable of detecting obstacles even if cameras fail (LiDAR, Radar). This bill wouldn’t allow Tesla to operate in the state since they use a camera-only approach.
The requirements from the bill are:
• 50,000 supervised miles with operators
• Triple-sensor hardware before any robotaxi goes fully driverless.
Sen. Andrew Zwicker: "At this point, I don't think the evidence is sufficient that a single sensor with software can handle situations that humans can."
What? Have these people seen anything Tesla is doing right now? This bill is absolutely ridiculous.

I mean, technically the buckling of the steel column here was caused by localized bending/yielding in the column flange. This is what it looks like when a column buckles and load redistributes to other parts of the building. The additional load above will cause a column to buckle.
It's possible the EOR specified this column to be braced mid-span for the final structure to increase capacity. The work may have not been completed or temporary shores could have been prematurely removed.
