People's craving for that quick dopamine hit has completely surpassed any real desire for truth and accountability. It's disappointing as hell to watch some voices I used to genuinely respect take the paid bait and straight-up sell their souls to the social media influencer machine. They started as real voices of the people, keeping it honest and calling shit out like they saw it. But the second those influencer checks started rolling in and became their main hustle, they sold out to the highest bidder, chasing every last paycheck. What we get now is nonstop ragebait, blatantly false provocative "news," those dumbass engagement-bait questions, and floods of AI slop. In a world this soaked in narcissism and lies, we can never heal or make any real progress. Social media companies need to wake the hell up and start properly flagging accounts that pump out this inauthentic, manufactured engagement garbage. Only then can the smaller, genuine voices finally cut through the noise and actually be heard.
