May 4-5: Trading Journal #52 Missed yesterday’s post so combining both days. Yesterday had good focus, today not so much. Swing positions are still dragging me down but I’m respecting structure and gritting my teeth. Biding my time to see if NFXL and SLV can recover as anticipated. P/L: QQQ 685c 5/5 → +$50 NFLX 85p 6/18 → +$48 PLTR market sell → +$21 TSLL sells mixed SPY 720p 5/8 → -$250 SPY 725p 5/6 → -$190 Still in the fight.

May 1: Trading Journal #50 Another busy day at work to round out the week. Didn’t get to focus much on the market but took some quick scalps here and there. Added positions in UVIX and JEPI. Sold a QBTS 20p LEAP to collect premium on the inevitable move up this year. Added a QQQ 680c June. P/L: QQQ 675c 5/1 → +$101 HYMC → +$110.50 (+6.10%) SPY 723c 5/1 → +$25 (+5.69%) SPY 720p 5/1 → -$50 SPY 724c 5/1 → -$30 Green scalps to close the week.

Apr 30: Trading Journal #49 Another distracted day so minimal trading. Took a couple quick scalps and closed the TSLL position.Added new positions in PLTR and HYMC. P/L: TSLL limit sell → +$48.52 (+4.06%) SPY 720c 5/1 → +$46 (+54.77%) Quiet day overall

Apr 29: Trading Journal #48 Felt super out of it today and couldn’t commit to either side of the market. Took a few small scalps that mostly canceled out. Added to TSLL, added some JEPQ, and loaded more NFXL. P/L: QQQ 660c 4/29 → +$15 QQQ 657p 4/29 → +$20 QQQ 659c 4/29 → -$24 Flat / slightly green but low conviction day.

Apr 27-28: Trading Journal #47 Missed yesterday’s post. Sadly cut my short-dated puts early to roll them out, so overall P/L across both days was basically flat. Only holding NFXL and SLV LEAPs right now. P/L: QQQ 670p 8/21 → +$325 (+10.40%) & +$300 (+9.38%) SPY 685p 6/18 → +$73 (+9.36%) & +$27 (+1.55%) SPY 714p 4/30 → -$697 (-26.64%) TSLL → -$49 (-2.01%) Choppy but survived the roll. Still positioned for the longer move.

Apr 22-23: Trading Journal #45 Missed yesterday’s journal so combining both days. Licked some wounds after the rough stretch. Averaged down on SLV LEAPs and added to TSLL on the post-earnings drop. Took some scalps but still working through the chop. P/L Highlights: SPY 716c 4/23 → +$100 (+33.34%) SPY 699p 4/30 → mixed (+$25 / -$5) NNOX market sell → -$667 (-26.48%) QQQ/TSLA calls mixed Still in the fight. Expecting more volatility this week.

Jesse Livermore was probably a better trader than you. He made $100+ million, lost all of it, went into debt, and then killed himself. Manage yourself. Always.

I've been trading for about 5-6 years now. Primarily scalping spy options. My main issue lately has been not day trading a size large enough to hedge against the drawdown experienced by swing positions. Generally been trying to integrate more swings to avoid all the war noise in the market.

@StratoStatic How long have you been trading? Do you have a proven edge? Might be worth checking if it’s specific markets rather than your whole approach. I found some markets consistently underperformed for me even when the setups were “correct”.

Took some successful SPY scalps but pulled profits early again, still have trust issues shorting this market after last week Added to my SLV LEAP EOD P/L: SPY 708p 4/21 → +$240 (+12.91%) SPY 655p 7/17 → +$74 (+8.93%) SPY 700p 4/21 → -$80 (-47.06%) Green day

Apr 16: Trading Journal #41 Took profit on the SPY 695p swing Closed out of UVIX (will look to reposition soon) Took a quick scalp and a hedge that both ended basically flat Added a SPY 710c May as a hedge and a small 705c lotto for tomorrow P/L: SPY → +$40 UVIX → -$65.51

Apr 15: Trading Journal #40 Accepted an ugly loss on the SPY weeklies This rally is getting ridiculous, calling it a black swan at this point The market hasn’t ripped like this since the 1950s Last window for a real drop before we enter true no-man’s-land at all-time highs
