GRAND THEFT AUTO VI launches in 6 months from now on November 19, 2026.

Unfortunately, with Rockstar likely posting Red Dead Online news today, there’s probably little to no chance of getting any Grand Theft Auto VI news. At this point, Thursday is the day I’m waiting on. Thursday will either send my hype through the roof or completely kill it. If we don’t get anything besides confirmation of the November 19th release date, I’m probably taking a break from the hopium for a while. Unless some major news drops within the next 3 days, I’m just gonna chill until Rockstar finally decides to come out of their cave and actually say something. #gta6

They just can’t delay GTA 6 pre-orders any more Rockstar opened GTA V pre-orders on November 5, 2012, while the actual game launched on September 17, 2013. That's around 10 months later. The digital preload/download for GTA V became available only a few days before release. So if GTA VI pre-orders open now in May 2026 for a November 2026 launch, that would actually be normal for Rockstar's marketing timeline.

Today Rockstar is posting a Red Dead Online update, so honestly there’s no point in getting overly hyped or stressing ourselves out. At this point, it’s probably best to expect no real Grand Theft Auto VI news until July — or worst case, another delay announcement. #gta6

GTA VI’s website title was quietly updated from just “Grand Theft Auto VI” to “Rockstar Games: Grand Theft Auto VI.” It’s a small change, but Rockstar usually doesn’t touch official pages for no reason. Could just be a metadata/SEO update, or it could mean they’re slowly preparing the site for future updates. Either way, it’s another little sign that activity around GTA VI is picking up behind the scenes.

The Best Buy pre-orders debacle took a lot of attention away from tomorrow. I understand that a lot of you are feeling quite pessimistic about GTA 6 right now (understandably so), but there’s actually quite a strong case for Trailer 3. — It’s exactly 6 months before launch. — It’s the final Tuesday before Take-Two’s earnings call. — Rockstar still has Trailer 2 pinned to their social media, which still displays May 26th — the launch date prior to the delay. They might want to update this to reflect the actual release date of November 19th. As always, nothing is guaranteed. I do think that it’s worth keeping an eye on though, and I personally will be keeping heavy tabs on Rockstar’s activity tomorrow.
