Y'all, I have been very non-COVID sick for a couple of weeks now. I started some antibiotics on Friday and I'm finally feeling much better today. Thanks for your patience as I catch up on work at App State, JSAI-related work, and some housework.

And, if #facebook didn't intend to engage in quality improvement efforts, why did they do the research? Were they hoping to find positive results to market that they weren't doing harm? If the results were positive - do that. But, when you know better, you need to do better.

We're making significant progress on selecting a national diversity campus climate survey for the '22-'23 academic year so that we can benchmark with peer institutions! If you're an #SAassess #SApro a mid-size regional institution (~20,000), let me know if you want to join us!

I ended my week with @albioncollege Student Development Leadership to talk about #SAassess and the contributions of #SApro to students' learning through cocurricular experiences. It was a great way to refocus on purpose before vacation! Thanks for the invitation, Leroy!

I am finding the new Occasional Paper (#52) from @NILOA_web “Advances, Contributions, Obstacles, and Opportunities in Student Affairs Assessment,” hard to read.

The work of so many professionals in the 1990s, such as Erwin, Upcraft, and Schuh are evidence that the important work we are doing began well before 2010. Are we there yet? No. Can we get better? Yes. But let’s look back with respect and reverence for the movement and work.
