@StripyTropical My point is that resources are finite- time, attention, panel rooms, etc. Spending those resources on stuff that's available all over the place, and / or discussing things we're constantly inundated with everywhere else in normal life, is a poor use of the convention weekend.

@StripyTropical I'd argue it IS a bad thing if it's done at the expense of WHY all of those people have gathered together in the first place. There are only so many hours in the day, and only so many days in the weekend. To me, it makes sense to focus on enjoying what makes that time unique.
