@CodingSwede @PamphletsY Yeah, what people seem to get wrong about fascism is that it actually does accomplish (or attempts to accomplish) the goals of the state. Your reply is essentially a perfect analysis of the situation.

It's neither. It's fascism. And the problem with it is that it "sort of works". The existence of a "market" (freedom is borrowed and not a right) allows for somewhat efficient economic production. The government can then hyper-regulate and subsidize specific sectors it cares about and steer society without having to deal with a lot of the issues that a conventional centralized economy has where everything has to be micro-managed. Problem being that now you get the problems that Mises pointed to in his book Bureaucracy where he critiqued the Nazi economy along with additional problems of corruption and a lack of incentives to force competent people in certain positions and incompetent people to get forced out. And this assumes the central plan is even the optimal idea which it often isn't. And when everyone is forced in one direction there isn't as much diversification as in a free economy leading to a situation where either everything goes great or it all goes to shit. And after Covid where the authoritarian elements in the Chinese economy was shown on full display it scared away many foreign investors who had previously funded Chinese growth during their pseudo-free period. Now they are struggling with sky-high youth unemployment, pensions, real-estate bubbles, low birth-rates, environmental issues, and high debt levels which assumes growth that simply isn't likely to come.

Drug addiction tortures the compassionate (Christians often), because we like to see people defeat their demons and get their life together. Some addicts are just horrible people though.

It wasn't, many industries lied about their metrics to make Stalin happy and not get fired, or worse. 2) The grades of the food were far worse, often thrown out in the US.

I don't believe being gay is solely genetic, tied to other factors aswell; but research is still being done on that
