One of the quickest ways to sum up my politics is to state my opinion of the two prevailing political parties. Few think that the Republican and Democratic parties are two benevolent organizations that are doing their best to help the American people. Many people insist that both parties are equally bad, full of corrupt politicians and obstructionists who only want to glorify their own camp. There is a great deal of truth to the latter.
In time, over careful consideration spanning decades, I decided to reject both of these notions, and accept the obvious truth that one party has to be worse than the other. I'm an independent who used to switch back and forth in my voting, but have decided that the Democratic Party is the worse of the two American political tribes...and by quite a margin.
This is for two main reasons. They project their own failures onto their political rivals, and they aren't even who they pretend to be. I'm not speaking so much of the voters as I am of the political leadership of the party.
Projection of failures:
When the idea popular with many Democrats called Defund the Police proved to be a horrid disaster, many Democrats like clockwork accused Republicans of actually wanting to Defund the Police. Angst towards the politically biased FBI was mentioned.
When the murder rate spiked in 2020, Gun Control was insisted as being central to the issue. One doesn't have to ponder long to realize which party opposes Gun Control. A reduced police presence even caused spikes in traffic accidents in many minority neighborhoods, and like a well-oiled machine cog, Biden's Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg began to insist that America's roads were racist.
The list goes on and on without end. When evidence of Biden's Pay to Play corruption involving his son begins to stack up, an all-out legal attack on Trump begins with his first impeachment and continues to this day. I think everyone should watch the Pam Bondi testimony before the US Senate at Trump's first impeachment trial.
It goes on today, as with the border bill that will probably be rejected because of the absurdities in it. The intent to me seems to be to Hot Potato the Border Crisis onto the Republicans. This is Biden's worst issue with voters to be sure, and the Democrats had to come up with some ruse. This was certain to happen.
This projection is even practiced in local politics. Everyone has seen the stories of thieves looting stores in California, and many know of Walgreens being driven out of many areas by the rampant theft. Gavin Newsom has an answer to this issue as well – just make Walgreens the villain. He announced in early 2023 that the State of California will stop doing business with Walgreens over their practices involving the mailing of the abortion pill to other states.

This stuff is so common with the Democratic Party that it can be easily predicted. It goes all the way back to when the Democrats were the White Supremacist party in America. Once it seemed they shed these beliefs in the 1960's, they endeavored to pin a racist label on Republicans every since.
One could say that the need to project onto others is in the Democrat's bloodstream.
Not in my back yard:
The easiest way to demonstrate the Democrats not being who they claim is something folks call the "not in my back yard," attitude. One example, the 15-year struggle to put up windmills off the coast of the wealthy owners of manors in Cape Cod, who fought against it like lions. It does seem this wind farm is finally being built today.
Another example is the reaction to the brilliant maneuver of Ron DeSantis, when he sent 50 migrants to Martha's Vineyard and irked a host of tolerant Democrats into calling out the National Guard so fast Texans were saying "daammmnnn!"
My favorite example though is in a video about housing for the poor in Democratic states. It's a masterpiece entitled Liberal Hypocrisy is Fueling American Inequality. Here’s How.
It was put out by the New York Times and hosted by Johnny Harris. I've talked many people into watching it already, and don't plan to stop any time soon.
