If we assume the Vikings will be operating on a really tight budget, these are probably my favorite and affordable free agents for them:
1. Leo Chenal (LB)
2. Tyler Biadasz (C)
3. Cor'Dale Flott (CB)
4. Nick Cross (S)
5. Kenneth Gainwell (RB)
@_jason_777 Back to back attempts to Jefferson both td opportunities. Both times jets gave up on the play for a split second and the ball was where it should be. But jets had been making the same plays all game, and been missed all day, so it makes sense he didn't expect the ball to be there
Why don't you run it 3 downs. Just power right over your lineman. You don't need the td. A fg gets you a two score lead. Instead you Playstation pass2x and don't wate any clock and kick the field goal anyway... bad decisions.
@SleeperVikings@_jason_777 23-20 vikings win. There is a tj hock fumble that goes for a touchdown.
And each team misses an extra point by blocks.
Ending with a willthrill 36 yard field goal as time expires.
@vikesinsider Daunte cullpepper wasn't any good. He just had an elite wr core and randy moss made it easy to read the same two high defense every play. His stats are only good because we had the best talent around him. He just had to toss the ball up, and purple was gonna come down with it.
@DustBaker Also. Maybe joe burrow is doing more for Cincinnati than most thought? Still a great win, and awesome to see all those points on both sides of the ball. The turnover differential was huge.
Here's the key from the Vikings' 38-point flogging of Cincy: bad or mediocre teams don’t do that, especially not to a 2-0 squad.
Fans sulked after Week 2 — rightfully so — but this was proof the Vikings are good. Maybe great. You don’t luck into a 48-10 pounding. Not possible.
JJ McCarthy is making IMPOSSIBLE throws 😳
His arm strength and Accuracy along with his speed remind coaches of "Josh Allen 2.0" 👀
The NFL is in DANGER ⚠️
@DustBaker I'm fine with shaq griffin back. And jaire Alexander. Asante Samuel Jr would be fun too.
Really can't go wrong with this list. Except for some aging guys. I think the front office waits on this list and strikes a little closer to august on a budget pick up.
The Vikings really have so many additional options at CB if they're interested.
FAs
— Jack Jones
— Mike Hilton
— Rasul Douglas
— Shaquill Griffin
— Jaire Alexander
— Stephon Gilmore
— Asante Samuel Jr.
Trades
— Tariq Woolen
— Jalen Ramsey
— Greg Newsome II
We're gonna know by the end of summer if they love their existing group. No excuses with this many options. There's also the roster cutdown market in late August.
probably not a bold take, but i absolutely endorse the Vikings free-agent pursuit of Jaire Alexander
would be the cake-topper of the offseason, and won't cost any draft picks, like Jalen Ramsey, for example, would via trade
go get em
This JJ McCarthy throw during Vikings OTAs is filthy. He can whip it, but there will be ups and downs for him as a passer early on, given his lack of experience passing at Michigan.
Got paired up with one of the best HC imaginable for his development.
