It was heart warming to recieve 30 letters of thanks today from the children who took part in our @StrongerShores project. Huge thanks to them for taking the time to write them. They really mean a lot & we look forward to supporting them again soon 💚💚

B E A C H O F D R E A M S Monday was the national launch of #beachofdreams a UK wide coastal festival connecting with the beauty, stories and challenges of our coastlines. * Last year I was commissioned by @kinetikapeople to work alongside writers Saira Niazi and Stevie Ronnie and @StrongerShores to make new work and produce a series of zines with local communities that capture their personal and emotional connection to the beautiful beaches of the North East. We’re now getting excited to welcome everyone to Sandhaven Beach in South Shields, on Sunday 11th May from 10am until high tide. Our work ‘Song of The Oyster Reef’ and that of the three community groups Sisters of Shields, Creative Youth Opportunities and The Creative Seed CIC will be joined by the 840 naturally dyed silk pennants and installed on the beach. At 11am we will be joined by @CreativeSeed100 who will perform a contemporary dance around the Beach of Dreams pennants followed by a carnival parade at 12pm. * The artists are grateful for the support, kindness and generosity of The Wild Oysters Project, Tyne and Wear, without which this work would not have been possible. @ace_national
