Besides procrastination, our fears hold us back from getting a fresh start. Fear can paralyze our potential, keep us from launching out, and keep us from having the faith to move forward into God’s will. When the opportunity arises, let’s take advantage of it and not let fear keep us from moving forward. The Bible says God doesn’t give us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Faith is God asking us to do something greater than we’ve ever done, and He’s asking us to depend on Him in the process. Therefore, by faith, we’re to face our fears. This is evident in our verse today, saying, “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.” (Proverbs 29:25) Through the prophet Isaiah, the Lord said, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10) Therefore, whom shall we fear? The Lord is our light and salvation, the strength of our lives (Psalm 27:1). May the Lord be with you this day and give you the strength and courage to move forward in His word, will, and way.
