A warning to anyone using @HRBlock :
I’ve used the same office since 2017. For tax season 2025 (this year), I got charged DOUBLE the price I’ve ever been charged.
On top of that, my refunds never made it to me. They are marked as disbursed but not in my account. The IRS themselves told me to call the office at HR Block but no one ever answers the phone and once I got someone, they told me they couldn’t help me.
Two of my returns have now had issues - one requires me to pay more and one sounds like it was denied completely.
Of course, no one from the office I paid $600 to will help me.
Lesson learned. Having loyalty means nothing. Oh, by the way, I got audited in 2018 as well but chalked it up to a weird year of W2s.
