We provide continuous quality improvement (CQI) for @CincyFireEMS and sometimes that means we find some equipment issues. Here is one of our fellows testing a @StrykerEC LifePak 15 to evaluate a possible ETCO2 monitoring problem during defibrillation.

@BrooksWalsh Not a fan of the LUCAS in my own personal clinical practice in the ED (with all the usual caveats of having enough staffing etc). Too long to put on most of the time; and followed closely by malposition.

LUCAS marketing: "+60% brain blood flow!!" LUCAS reality: A lone > 10-year old case report that looked at 3 (not 4) patients.
