@RealDaveMorris My friends and I are just getting to book 5 - started this campaign in about 1998! First book purchased from one of those school book sales with the shelves they opened up in a classroom circa 1988.

@lowtheband End of the road and green man do it for me - eclectic folk and ambient line ups, old women selling “festival accessories” out of wicker baskets and not too big (green man is often wet) but the weather suits the location and music I feel. loved you on the garden stage at eotr

@goSHIFTscheme @BikeWorcester @mikerouse @myworcester @davidblakeworc I concur - the focus on ease of access for cars has meant the city has very poor provision for alternative and public transport. To be dramatic - I can’t help but feel the city is slowly choking itself to death.

@StuAshfield @BikeWorcester @mikerouse Air quality is a big part of this as acknowledged by @myworcester and @davidblakeworc and it should be noted that this affects everyone including those sat in cars.
We’ve designed a transport system that is not fit for purpose, notably in a climate crisis.

I don’t often cycle through the centre of Worcester at 17:00.
It’s worse than I’d thought. Numerous occasions where it’s stationary traffic in both directions.
Bike is clearly quicker, but lack of infrastructure hinders progress, and increases risk.

@RealDaveMorris But in all seriousness something to recognise the anniversary would be good!

In correcting someone's tweet about Dragon Warriors just now, I realized that in 2025 the game will be 40 years old. And something ought to be done to mark that.

@WorcesterCivic @BikeWorcester It takes 6 minutes to cross London road where it meets bath road, as it forces you to cross bath road first. 6 minutes to cross a road! Needs complete overhaul!

We prioritise traffic over people, and when that isn’t enough we surrender our limited space to the very same traffic

Shit Planning@PlanningShit
A measure of how much your town & city prioritises people over traffic, is how long you are left waiting here.

@RoughTrade @ghostly Just sat down and listened to it. It’s remarkable. Utterly beautiful album.

@worcscc It’s lovely at about 7am on a Sunday morning - but a congested fume filled mess at all other times. Where’s the active travel / pedestrianisation? The city centre needs radical overhaul - looking at the picture - why would anyone spend time there unless they have to?

The multi-million pound Worcester City Centre improvements are about to enter a fifth phase.
Phase 5 will see us upgrade the public space on Foregate St including new natural stone paving and the signalised pedestrian crossing.
