@kylegawley Commitment to the craft, similar. A stint in Maccies whilst studying also does wonders for an entrepreneurial mind

Surprised nobody has made an app for Airbnb guests to put a cockroach in an image and get cheap stays. This is the world we are moving towards and traditional photo evidence will not be enough to be a source of truth.

We are in 2026 and people still don’t realize that LLM versions are not on a linear path, every model is isolated and separate, there is no continuity, what worked for a .6 might not work for a .7. The AI hype cycle is ruthless

@levelsio @brian_lovin People underestimate the amount of stuff you can run on a VPS, a beefy hetzner server (50-60eur/mo) running something like Cloudron gives you like unlimited great apps for peanuts, long time setup running multiple backends through 🤓

I get 4,150,000,000 (4 billion) requests and 300,000,000 (300 million) visitors per year That'd cost me $338,913 if I wasn't on a VPS like @brian_lovin below Instead I pay $2,932/year or 115x less because I host my sites on my own VPS My VPS servers are way too big and usually only use 10% of their resources so I could even go with $300/year probably if I optimized more (but I don't care) Especially with AI these days it's easier than ever to host your sites yourself, and way cheaper! 100-1000x cheaper!

The fact that 100,000s requests cost you $20 is more worrrying than Tencent scraping

Someone needs to do a YouTuber/influencer parody of shooting a generic Songkran video.

@heat_bender Putting a guy on blast for not letting you come to their event and steal their customers / potential customers and/or network within their ecosystem is not the W you think it is.

Finally got around to installing Claude Code on all of my GPUs running Comfy, debugging / updating / changing things has never been so easy! Maybe it is time to harden the whole flow. But first, can Claude Code disable auto Windows Updates forever?

With the Chagos Island dumb deal to Mauritius collapsing, indie makers can rejoice that the .io domain is safe for now and the future!

No, you did not go viral for the "wrong" reason. You went viral because it perfectly represents how employees are forced to reply during PTO or risk getting fired in 2026. And you were a clear Stuart of that culture. Nicely done turning off replies on this post as well...

@levelsio I wonder which country will be the first to microdose GLP 1s into the water supply. I can see a future where that happens.

If you don't know what to build, just build it for yourself first. I stopped looking for "the next big idea" and started fixing the tiny thing that annoyed me every single day. That's how Pegkits was born. 🧵

This mythos release reminds me of the OpenAI GPT-3 beta with the long list of rules on prohibitive use cases. Remember when you had to video record any prompt you put into a product and wait for OpenAI to greenlight that specific use case? Wild times. Even wilder they specifically disallowed social media tools as being too dangerous. I'm glad they made that call and ever since social media has been an AI free zone.

Is there a good, AI-first, modern (2026) email client? Superhuman was good in 2024. But it feels extremely obsolete today.

Support for x402 and MPP via a single call is the way to go for agentic payments. Now for the fun stuff, adding real world services on top of the agentic infrastructure. Life is more fun when your agent can call you a taxi, book you a flight, and / or a hotel. Fun week ahead for indiegent.com.

@kir_varlamov @debridge Gateway drug is a smart approach to create bias with the agent to then convert its human to the cause. What a world we are living in !

x402 and agents - one thing keeps nagging me The current handshake starts with a 402 rejection. Agent has to pay before it sees any data. For sub-cent queries like price feeds or quotes, that's a paywall competing with free alternatives What if we invert it? ⬇️
