You see things ain’t so bad…
This memory popped up today from the 2005 play-off final vs Preston North End. We won the game 1-0 with a Bobby Zamora second half goal.
The game was played in Cardiff as Wembley was being rebuilt at the time. I don’t know about anyone else but i much preferred our visits to the Millennium stadium as it was called back then. We went 3 times in total, 2 play-off finals, the first being a 1-0 loss to Palace and then of course that crazy FA Cup final, which i still have nightmares about! 😂
Loads to look forward to ❤️⚒️ #COYI
@Barningtons@DarrenArsenal1 His mate on the left is who I was chatting to on the concourse before the game, never really spoken to him before...nice guy. 🙂
I'm sure that the press/photographers etc will be slightly annoyed with Merino grabbing Ødegaard around the waist just as he lifted the trophy on Sunday!
@StuartWatson3@TLG861 Half the problem was people coming from the back to the front who shouldn’t have been there etc. ‘meant there was 2/3 times as many people to see through etc
@StuartWatson3@TLG861 Unfortunately there were quite a few who made it all about themselves and ruined it for those behind them. Asked two young lads in row 5 who had no need to be stood on their seats not to do it so a kid and older fan who’s being going decades could see and they carried on anyway
@StuartWatson3 Couldn’t see a bloody thing as hate standing on the seats I have a fear of falling!! Managed to get in the gangway for the lift tho! But if no one stiff we’d have all had a good and safe view lol
@StuartWatson3 They didn’t leave the screen on Glasners farewell & the build up to the trophy lift.
They just cut to a bunch of talk about relegation and pep’s departure. Was really odd.
@garfieldaharbil First time I noticed it was at the 2017 cup final at Wembley, I was row 3 and for some reason everyone in front of us just decided to stand on their seats so eventually everyone else had to do the same.
@StuartWatson3 Yeah lad in row 6 was annoyed with us but we were like mate what can we do? Standing on seats after an away seems to be the done thing. Everyone wants their moment on the cameras. Def linked to how much of a helmet you are.
@StuartWatson3 Row 1 was closed, Row 2 had players family & some of them disappeared at full time & ppl came down into that row and stood on seats. So Row 3 had to do the same, as did I in Row 4, and so on. Annoying as a gentleman of my weight has no business stood on a flimsy seat 😂
@StuartWatson3 Guy in front of me asked the guys in front of him (row 4) not to do it and they just laughed at him. In Budapest, I’m a couple of rows above the tunnel in the corner, so hopefully I won’t have that nonsense (just hope there is a trophy lift to watch!).
